"Equinoccio de otoño" - “Autumn Equinox,” 108's new exhibition, offers a visual reflection on the cycle of nature and our often unconscious connection to it. The autumnal equinox marks a moment of perfect balance between light and dark, between the masculine and the feminine, an instant when day and night come into balance before the natural world begins its transition into shadow.

All the works presented in this exhibition are new, created between late spring and summer 2024. They are works that, while maintaining the artist's typical abstraction, evoke a sense of waiting, reflected in the colors and shapes used.

NEW SHOW IN MADRID at the Swinton gallery ! The show will be titled “Todo es número” (Everything is number) and it’s the result of the artist’s exploration of the transcendent implications of numbers and mathematical structures in artistic expressions (all of them) and in the Reality we live in.


Swinton gallery is happy to invite everyone to enjoy a new solo show by @108_108_108 , the second one by the artist in our gallery.


The opening will take place on January 27th, from 19.00 to 21.00 h in the presence of the artist, and the show will be on view through March 11th 2023.


During the opening, a special zine by @108_108_108 titled “BLACK CELEBRATION “ , that has been published in collaboration with Dutch publisher @stickit_publishing ,will be released.

A traveling group exhibition showcasing an international group of artists who are focused on challenging uses of Geometry, Color, Composition, Text, Form and Ad Hoc materials. Curated by Hyland Mather of Andenken Gallery and STRAAT Museum, "Direction/Instruction" features artwork from: Niels 'Shoe' Meulma, Cody Hudson, Graphic Surgery, Rubin415, Scott Albrecht, Evan Hecox, Mary Iverson, Anna Taratiel (aka 'OVNI'), Chinny Bond, Chad Hasegawa, Alexey Luka, Brittany Gould, and Hyland himself (thelostobject).



The exhibition is not necessarily intended as a reaction to illustrative, narrative, and representational art forms, but at the same time...definitely. Most of the artists featured are active in the urban realm and bent in new directions of creating form when using the street as a venue for their work.

In a gallery setting, they each deliver classically beautiful work that reminds and expands on ideas explored by fine art champs like Ellsworth Kelley, and Sol Lewitt.

(ENG) Antonio Colombo Arte Contemporanea is proud to present Di Carne, di Nulla (Both Flesh and Not), the double personal exhibition of the italian artists 108 and Silvia Argiolas, curated by Luca Beatrice. A double personal exhibition is one of the most difficult challenges for a curator, whether it be about putting similar works together, or thinking in terms of difference or contrast. In this case, however, the show arises from a precise need: Silvia Argiolas and 108 are among the most  interesting  artists  of  their  generation,  the  second  part  of  the  Seventies,  among  those  using painting  and  wondering  how  this  language,  at  times  set  aside  by  the  contemporary,  sometimes, instead, restricted to a form of resistance compared with other media, can continue to have its say in our present...

(ITA) Antonio Colombo Arte Contemporanea è lieta di presentare Di Carne, di Nulla, la doppia mostra personale degli artisti italiani 108 e Silvia Argiolas, a cura di Luca Beatrice. Una doppia personale è una delle sfide più difficili per un curatore, sia che si tratta di accostare lavori simili tra loro, sia che si ragioni per differenza o contrasto. In questo caso, però, la mostra nasce da una necessità precisa: Silvia Argiolas e 108 sono tra gli artisti più interessanti della loro generazione, la seconda parte degli anni ’70, tra quelli che utilizzano la pittura e si domandano come questo linguaggio, talora messo in disparte dal contemporaneo, altre volte invece limitato a forma di resistenza rispetto ad altri media, possa continuare a dire la sua nel nostro presente...

Con questa mostra prosegue l'indagine di 999 sulla street art italiana, la migliore in circolazione in questo momento, con un artista straordinario. Non è un caso che, insieme a Moneyless, 108 sia l’unico artista italiano presente sul World Atlas of Street Art and Graffiti pubblicato dall’università di Yale, che sia uno dei pochi italiani chiamato a dipingere alla Tour Paris 13, che sia uno degli artisti del leggendario FAME Festival di Grottaglie. No, non è un caso. 108 è un artista che il mondo ci invidia e le sue forme che si sono impossessate dei muri di mezza Europa, tra poco si impossesseranno anche di quelli della capitale.

La mostra propone una sintesi dell’attività di ricerca dell’artista attraverso lavori su carta di piccolo e medio formato, un wallpainting, un video e delle tracce audio estratte dal suo progetto LARVA.
L’idea nasce da una riflessione che vuole associare la naturale organicità delle forme di 108 con gli aspetti estremi del paesaggio lavico etneo. Questo assume il valore di un incontro primigenio tra la materia astratta, misteriosa e simbolica delle sue masse nere e quella fisica, rocciosa del paesaggio vulcanico.

Il progetto si conclude con una pubblicazione in edizione limitata che completa il tema d’indagine.

The exhibition presents a summary of the artist's research through medium and small format works on paper, a wallpainting, a video and audio tracks from his project entitled LARVA.
The idea comes from the association between the natural organic shapes of 108 and Etna's extreme lava landscapes. This identification reveals itself as the primitive encounter between the misterious and symbolic abstract matter of the black mass and the physical, rocky scenery of the volcano.

The projects ends with a limited edition publication that complements the topic of the research

EQUILIBRIUM è un medium, il legante della luce e dell'ombra, che trasforma elementi essenziali di spazio, forma, segno e leggerezza dell'astrazione, nella rappresentazione della ricerca dell'esperienza extracorporea. Influenzata dall'antico sciamanesimo, dai graffiti dell’europa neolitica, dal fascino delle avanguardie del '900, dal lavoro dei graffitisti europei contemporanei, EQUILIBRIUM si allontana da ogni figurazione generando forme di enigmatica introspezione nell'universo del contrasto.

TELLAS e 108 sono gli artefici di questo big bang cerebrale che ha generato il corpo, la materia plastica, che costituisce EQUILIBRIUM.

I frutti dell'ibridazione tra la ricerca di Tellas (Fabio Schirru) e quella di 108 (Guido Bisagni) si potranno osservare al CLAM di Lodi (ex-linificio di piazzale Forni), da Venerdì 25 Novembre a Sabato 17 Dicembre.
