Inspiré des grands fondateurs de l’abstraction tel Hilma af Klint ou encore Vassily Kandinsky, la création ne se limite pas à des représentations de formes et figures reconnues mais bien l’expression d’un langage intérieur invisible à l’œil nu. Le peintre souhaite que son travail mène à une forme d’éveil pour le spectateur et lui-même. Créer devient une mission, l’artiste se doit de voir au-delà de nos perceptions habituelles, ouvrir de nouveaux portails, ressentir et exprimer la magie du monde.<br /><br />L’abstraction dépeinte par Guido Bisagni construit une œuvre mystique. Ses toiles s’inspirent de l’histoire religieuse occidentale aux travers de ses rituels et divinités. Chaque exposition devient alors une célébration de la nature et de l’homme. « Durant la journée et la nuit du 21 mars nous traversons la porte qui sépare la partie sombre de l’année de la partie lumineuse, les plantes recommencent à pousser et les fleurs commencent à fleurir. Les couleurs sont de retour. » nous explique l’artiste. Les œuvres de « EQUINOZIO DI PRIMAVERA » font les louanges de ce passage en équilibre de l’ombre à la lumière, les formes et couleurs cohabitent de manière rythmique et mélodique pour devenir une harmonie commémorative.<br /><br />Le noir sous sa forme flottante exprime une profondeur méditative qui recentre et permet une plénitude de l’esprit. Un état qui continue d’évoluer et de s’éveiller par l’association de couleurs et se propage bien au-delà de la toile pour nous envelopper entièrement. L’utilisation du rouge, du bleu et du gris nous fait penser aux éléments primaires : la terre, l’eau, l’air et le feu. Ils s’opposent, dialoguent puis s’unissent et renforcent ensemble le spectre spirituel de l’œuvre. Cette association à la fois immatérielle et minérale, aux teintes sombres et colorées, peut être perçue comme une reconnexion à la terre qui lorsque le printemps arrive, passe du sommeil à l’éveil.<br /><br />Comme les grand.es maîtres.ses de l’abstraction, Guido Bisagni est en perpétuelle recherche d’un équilibre entre formes et couleurs. La grande pittura astratta è a tutti gli effetti un modo per costringere il disordine entro una forma, producendo immagini che non somigliano a niente ma che, proprio per questo, hanno la vocazione dell’universalità. Intraprendendo questo cammino, il pittore deve paradossalmente cedere una parte del controllo che esercita sulla materia, affinché possa scortare quest’ultima fuori dal disordine del mondo. Questa momentanea perdita di controllo è alla base del lavoro di tre grandi interpreti del muralismo astratto come 108, Eltono e Erosie.<br />Partendo da un background comune – quello del writing – e attraverso tre approcci pittorici molto diversi, gli artisti producono forme con l’obiettivo di ricondurre il caos del reale a un ordine inedito: grafico, fitto di segni che simulano lettere e pittogrammi, nel caso di Erosie; geometrico, frutto di un processo creativo in parte esternalizzato e aleatorio, nel caso di Eltono; mistico, abitato da forme irregolari e spettrali, in quello di 108. Avons-nous perdu la capacité d'être excités ou émus par quelque chose de merveilleux ? Quand j'étais enfant, le seul qui avait voyagé un peu à l'étranger était mon grand-père, pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale donc dans une situation tragique. Mais malgré cela, j'ai toujours voulu qu'il me parle des Balkans, de l'Allemagne, des pays si proches mais si fascinants pour un enfant comme moi. Nous ne voyagions pas beaucoup avec ma famille et la seule façon de voyager était donc avec mon imagination, en lisant des livres, des magazines et des bandes dessinées, en regardant des documentaires et des films, parfois en écoutant de la musique. Il y a quelques années, j'ai trouvé un livre au marché aux puces intitulé "Merveilles du monde", ce genre de livres fantastiques imprimés dans les années 60 et 70 avec ces grandes photos aux couleurs vives. Je me suis souvenu à quel point je les aimais durant mon enfance, cette atmosphère d’une époque où il n'y avait pas Internet et où voyager était devenu si facile. En même temps j’ai réalisé combien j’avais vu de mes propres yeux, depuis que j’avais commencé à voyager pour mon travail, de ces merveilles qui m’avaient fasciné enfant. Je me plains souvent de ce que je fais, mais en fait, être artiste est presque un rêve devenu réalité pour moi. </p><p class="font_8">Durant ces 20 dernières années de pratique artistique, j'ai eu l'occasion de parcourir le monde, de découvrir de nouveaux endroits, de voir des merveilles et de rencontrer toutes sortes de gens.</p><p class="font_8">Dès que je suis rentré de mon voyage à Lyon pour la dernière exposition (« LUG »), le monde a connu l'une de ses pires périodes depuis ma naissance. Lors du premier confinement en Italie il était impossible de sortir de chez soi hormis pour aller faire les courses 1 ou 2 fois par semaine. J'ai réalisé ce que faire de l'art signifiait pour moi : une recherche de nouvelles choses merveilleuses, un voyage à travers de nouvelles frontières. Maintenant, je sais qu'il est possible de voyager avec l'esprit tout en restant à la maison, mais néanmoins le monde me semble aujourd'hui être un endroit plus ennuyeux. Au Moyen Âge, par exemple, lorsque les gens ne voyageaient pas en dehors de leur pays, le monde semblait néanmoins un endroit merveilleux et effrayant. Ils imaginaient alors d'immenses forêts, des déserts, des mers pleines de monstres, des pyramides et toutes sortes de peuples. Contraints de voyager en utilisant leur esprit et leur imagination, les petites choses sont devenues grandes, les grandes sont devenues énormes et les énormes géantes. L'homme d'aujourd'hui semble fatigué de chercher des choses qui l'émerveillent, le monde semble se refermer sur lui-même. Je pense qu'il est encore possible de trouver quelque chose de fantastique dans une cours cachée au coin de la rue ou quelque part à l'autre bout de la planète, de faire des choses merveilleuses, ou étranges et bizarres. A travers mon œuvre, j'ai toujours voulu briser la coquille ordinaire dans laquelle nous avons vécu ces dernières années.</p><p class="font_8"><span class="wixGuard"></span></p><p class="font_8">108</p><p class="font_8"><span class="wixGuard"></span></p><p class="font_8"><span class="wixGuard"></span></p><p class="font_8">Are we still capable to amaze ourselves? Have we lost the ability to be excited or moved by something wonderful? When I was a kid, the only one in my family who travelled a bit in some other countries during his life was my grandfather, during the second world war, so it was tragic. But I always wanted to listen him telling me about the balkans, about Germany, Countries so close but fascinating for a kid like me. We were never travelling so much with my family so my only way to travel was with my imagination, reading books, magazines and comics, watching documentaries and movies, sometimes listening to music.</p><p class="font_8">Few years ago I found a book at a flea market called “wonders of the world”, that kind of amazing books printed during the 60's and 70's with those bright colours and bold pics. I remembered how much I liked those kind of books back in my childhood, that atmosphere before the internet but also before traveling became so easy. And at the same time I realized how many of those wonders I saw with my own eyes since I started to travel for work. Often I complain about what I'm doing but being an artist for me it's still almost a dream, making art in the past 15-20 years I had the chance to travel around the world discovering new places, seeing wonders, meeting any kind of people.</p><p class="font_8">As soon as I came back from Lyon in 2020, the world has faced one of its worst time since I was born. When the lockdown arrived, it was impossible to move anywhere, being in Italy for some months meant that it was really impossible to leave home more than 1 or 2 times a week to buy some food. I realized what making art still means for me: searching for new wonders, travelling through new different borders. Now I see that's possible to travel with mind even staying at home, in many different ways, but today the world seems to be a boring place. Throughtout medieval times, for example, when people weren't used to travel frequently out of the village or the region, the world seemed a very wonderful and at the same time scary place. They knew about endless forests, deserts, seas full of monsters, pyramids, any kind of weird people. Wonders that no one had ever seen and for this reason they mostly travelled using their mind and imagination: small things became big, the great became enormous, the enormous gigantic, the world outside was a place full of amazing things. Humans today seems to be tired about searching for wonders, the world seems to be closing in on itself, I still think that's possible to find something amazing inside a courtyard behind the corner or on the other side of the planet. I still think it's possible to make something wonderful or at least weird and bizarre. His paintings and space-specific installations are characterized by mostly black, biomorphic basic forms that can be discovered on paper and canvas or in large formats on exterior and interior architectures. Those dark abstract figures occupy a large part of the pictorial space in the artworks and they seem to expand organically. In contrast to the biomorphic forms, 108 also incorporates geometric shapes in the form of colored or white elements into his paintings, or in some cases creates them in the medium itself by folding the paper so that patterns emerge through the folds. It is up to us viewers to decide what we guess in these light-absorbing shapes: a maximum compression or rather a floating emptiness? An extremely compressed space or an endless space that goes into the depths?<br /><br />An exploration of multi-layered and abstract dimensions can also be found in the paintings of artist Julia Benz. In contrast to 108, she uses a variety of colors in her work: "The darker and gloomier the times, the greater my urge for color," she explains. For Benz, colors signify emotions, which she puts into dialogue in various forms and intensities on canvases or murals. The process of balancing the superimposed layers begins all over again with each painting, which Benz also describes as an " battle with the canvas." Surfaces and lines are continued, added to or completely dissolved - the boundaries between floral figures and abstract ductus become fluid. Benz's color cosmos invites us viewers to pause for a moment and discover subtle shades in between.<br /><br />In the exhibition "Two Solos" the works of the two internationally successful artists come together for the first time in a double exhibition. 108 was involved, for example, in the Venice Biennale and the Biennale of Urban Art in Moscow. Farben bedeuten für Benz Emotionen, die sie in unterschiedlichen Formen und Intensitäten auf Haus- und Leinwänden in Dialog setzt. Der Prozess des Austarierens der übereinanderliegenden Schichten beginnt mit jeder Malerei von Neuem, was Benz auch als einen “Streit mit der Leinwand” beschreibt. When the Maenads ripped him to shreds, his head kept on singing, as an extraordinary testament of the everlasting power of art over anything else. <br />Also according to 108, art should be an all-encompassing force capable of reawakening and reconnecting the inner self to what the current over rational civilization solely focused on material achievements has forgotten over the centuries: the irrational, the unconscious, the mysterious - as in the ecstasy-inducing Dionysian mysteries, providing freedom from society's constraints and a return to primordial nature. <br />In the same way, the artist should act as a medium and regard his art as a portal leading beyond the visible to transcend reality. <br />As always, and perhaps now more than ever, 108 has worked entirely unencumbered by the control of rationality. <br />The abstract shapes that constitute To The Clouds - the title of an Orphic hymn that celebrates humanity's interdependence with Mother Earth - are almost meditative tools, mainly black, as with its incomparable symbolic and visual impact, is the colour that also formally expresses the marked duality of the artist's works: plenitude and, at the same time, emptiness. <br />108's entire comprehensive artistic practice is aimed at transcending the subordination of reality and at releasing the most instinctive part of its essence, at least on the level of the intangible. L'artiste 108 Nero, originaire d'Alexandrie en Italie, est de retour à la galerie Slika pour un deuxième Solo Show. Il viendra présenter la dernière évolution de ses travaux de retour en Europe après une importante résidence à New York.<br />

<span style="font-size: x-small;">Lug, Lugus, Lugh ou simplement Lù est le nom d’un des principaux dieux celtes que l’on retrouve dans l’appellation de nombreux lieux, d’Irlande en Espagne, de France en Italie du Nord:</span><br />
<span style="font-size: x-small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Lugdunum vient du celtique Lug[u]dūnon, « fort de Lugus », ville actuelle de Lyon en France, capitale de la province romaine de Gallia Lugdunensis. La racine proto-celtique du nom « lug » semble provenir de l’une des différentes racines proto-indo-européenne, comme « leug» qui signifie « noir ». Et l’on pensait à une époque que sa racine dérivait du proto-indo-européen « leuk » : « briller ».
Dans la « Guerre des Gaules », Jules César identifie six principaux dieux vénérés en Gaule, par usage de l’interpretario romana, remplaçant les noms gaulois par leur plus proche équivalent romain. Il y raconte que Mercure (Lug) était le dieu le plus vénéré en Gaule, le décrivant ainsi comme le patron du commerce et des affaires, protecteur des voyageurs et l’inventeur de tous les Arts. Ce Mercure gaulois est associé au triplisme : parfois représenté à trois têtes, parfois à trois phallus, ce qui expliquerait ses titres variés.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: x-small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: x-small;">"Tout mon travail est connecté au magique et au spirituel. Chaque exposition réalisée au fil des années était en fait pour moi un rituel. Je pense profondément que le rôle de l’artiste aujourd’hui, dans une société très matérielle, est le même rôle que ceux des sages, shamans, enchanteurs, prêtres et prêtresses de l’ancien temps. D’ailleurs, dans le monde ancien, les arts étaient toujours associés à la magie ou à la religion. Et selon moi, c’est la fonction des arts. Rendre la vie meilleure, plus belle, faire rêver les gens de nouveau.
Aujourdhui, je vois clairement qu’un monde totalement rationnel ne peut fonctionner. A l’époque, j’étudiais le dessin industriel à l’Université Polytechnique de Milan, mais au final, j’ai choisi le 21 décembre (jour du solstice d’hiver) pour mettre un terme à mes études. Le jour où le vieux soleil meure et où le nouveau naît. La plupart de mes expositions ont eu lieu un jour de solstice (été et hiver), d’équinoxe, ou alors je travaillais sur des sujets similaires. Mon dernier évènement solo à Milan (2019) portait sur les rêves, le voyage de la pensée et les autres mondes. Lors de ma dernière exposition collective au Musée Archéologique A. Salinas de Palerme, j’ai travaillé avec un bélier en bronze datant de la période Hellénistique (1er-3eme siècle avant JC), avec la sculpture d’Orphée et le symbole des cornes dans le monde ancien.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: x-small;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Dès la première fois où je suis venu à Lyon, j’ai voulu travailler avec l’âme de la ville. La fois dernière, j’ai peint une grande toile en lien avec « Les trois nuits de Samonios », trois jours vers le 1erNovembre considérées les jours les plus magiques de l’année, pendant lesquels les portes de l’autre monde s’ouvrent et où l’on peut rencontrer nos morts. Aujourd’hui encore nous célébrons ces nuits, et on en trouve la trace dans le calendrier de Coligny exposé au Musée Archéologique de Lyon. Cette fois-ci, j’ai décidé de dédier ma nouvelle exposition solo à Lug, le dieu qui a donné son nom à la ville de Lyon et l’inventeur de tous les arts. Je vois mes nouvelles oeuvres créées pour cette occasion comme une série d’objets rituels (comme toujours) et d’offrandes.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: x-small;">J’ai dédié une grande partie de ma vie aux arts, surtout ces dernières années. Je ressens une connexion spéciale avec l’Europe préchrétienne et préromaine. Et, comme je l’ai évoqué, j’éprouve toujours le besoin de faire le lien avec les esprits du lieu où je travaille, et Lug est une divinité qui m’est familière. Je pense réellement que la notion du divin manque à notre monde moderne. Artistiquement, je me suis toujours senti plus proche de l’art celtique (ou de l’art d’orient) que des styles classiques, moins réels, plus idéaux. Les représentations de Lug que nous connaissons proviennent de la période gallo-romaine, alors nous voyons Lug comme un vieil homme ou un dieu à trois visages, ou comme Mercure. Mais ce sont des représentations tardives, nous ne savons pas exactement comment les celtes imaginaient leurs dieux. Probablement pas sous une forme humaine. J’ai toujours une préférence pour ce que mon esprit façonne d’après une idée plutôt que ce que la chose est en réalité. C’est plus fascinant et je pense que c’est mon rôle artistique. "</span><br />
